Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based programme, designed to promote central nervous system compensation for inner ear deficits which can be short term or long term. We are able to help with the following conditions:-
When vestibular organs are damaged by disease or injury, the brain can no longer rely on them for accurate information about equilibrium and motion, often resulting in dizziness, vertigo, balance problems and other symptoms. This can be a disabling experience. Our goal is to retrain the brain to recognise and process signals from the vestibular system in co-ordination with vision and proprioception. Ben Muvhuti, is a qualified vestibular rehabilitation therapist with an advanced vestibular rehabilitation qualification. Ben has experience of working for the Falls Prevention Service in Maidstone in the NHS alongside his clinic here at The Physiotherapy Centre. To learn more, visit Ben Muvhuti's page.... |

The Physiotherapy Centre has Chartered Physiotherapists who are qualified to practice acupuncture for pain relief to complement their established manual therapy skills. Acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce natural pain relieving chemicals which assist in the healing processes needed to restore normal function to an injured area. These members of staff belong to the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) which ensures we meet the high standards of skills needed to use acupuncture safely and effectively. |
