Acupuncture

The Physiotherapy Centre has Chartered Physiotherapists who are qualified to practice acupuncture for pain relief to complement their established manual therapy skills.

Acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce natural pain relieving chemicals which assist in the healing processes needed to restore normal function to an injured area.

These members of staff belong to the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) which ensures we meet the high standards of skills needed to use acupuncture safely and effectively.

Reflextherapy

Karen Fawcett, as well as being a Chartered Physiotherapist, is also a qualified Reflextherapist and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Medicine.

During Reflextherapy treatment, gentle pressure is applied to the soles of the feet, where specific areas correspond to the systems and organs of the body. Working on these areas can help to restore balance within the body to encourage healing and relaxation.

Reflextherapy is suitable for all ages and as a qualified professional, Karen can treat patients at The Physiotherapy Centre with a full, overall understanding of their needs.
